What is Masque Vivant and what does it do?

Masque Vivant is a “rebalancing” skincare face mask that can be used for all skin tyopes but is especially good for acne prone to seborrhea (excess oil) and/or acneic / blemish-prone skin.

What are the key benfits of using Masque Vivant?

Masque Vivant helps to regulateexcess oil and sebum, reduces breakouts, tightens pores, purifies, mattifies and soothes the skin for a healthy skin barrier.

What are Masque Vivant's main ingredients that make it so effective?

The main active ingredients include:

Yeast Extract which is rich in B vitamins; helps to purify and strengthen the skin’s microbiome.

Kaolin & Bentonite clays will help absorb excess oil, detoxify clogged pores and tighten pores.

Lactic Acid helps to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells to reveal a brighten more even toned complexion.

Witch Hazel & Cucumber Extracts provide a soothing effect to help calm inflamed skin and minimize redness. Helps to improve skin calrity and radiance.

How should I use Masque Vivant and how often?

Always start with a clean face and after toning. Wash face then apply your favorite Lotion P50 toner. Follow by applying your Masque Vivant with a thin, even layer over the face. Dont forget the neck/décolleté. Avoid applying to the under eye contour area.

Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cold to warm water using clean damp gauze or washcloth.

Frequency of use depends heavily on your skin type:
For oily, acne-prone or congested skin we recommend use 2–3 times per week to keep skin clear and decongested.

For sensitive skin less frequent use is recommended to just once per week to avoid any irritation. Closely montir your skin's reaction and reduce to every other week if necessary.

Why does Masque Vivant have such an unusal smell and texture?

Yes Masque Vivant has a very uniqueand strong smell. There are no artificial fragrances in the product and it comes from the high concentration of yeast extract. The odor is unique but the yeast extract is what makes it so special and effective. The texture is thicker than most skincare masque products. The smell doesnt last long after rinsing.

Can Masque Vivant be mixed with other mask products or modified?

You can add a pinch of baking soda to activate the yeast extract to increase the purifying and exfoliating effect. When mixed the product will foam and bubble a bit. This is normal. Adding the baking will also make the application and removel of the masque much easier.

You can choose to use Masque Vivant on specifc trouble spots such as the “T-zone” or specific areas of congestion instead of the entire face if skin is combination-type.

You can multi-mask Masque Vivant with other skincare masques. You can either layer or concentrate on specific areas of the face. Many users mix with the MAsque VIP O2 to balance or brightening in zones where less oil control is needed.

What skin types is Masque Vivant good for?

Masque Vivant is excellent for oily, combination, or acne-prone skin. Skin that is congested with clogged pores and blackheads and excess sebum.

You should always be cautious if you have sensitive or reactive skin. The acids in the formula and high yeast content may cause irritation. Avoid using with any strong actives like retinol or prescription skin medications.

What kind of results can I expect using Masque Vivant?

You can expect to see skin improvements after 1-2 times of use. Skin will feel cleaner and less congested. Pores will be clear with less of a shine from a more balanced ph level. With ongoing regular use, your complexion will become more balanced, pores tightened with fewer breakouts. Skin will feel smoother and more toned.

Temporary breakout of the skin are not uncommon. This is considered the purge phase and tells you the product is working. The purge phase is actually decongesting skin and pulling out all the dirt and impurities from deep inside your skin. Skin will typically balance out and clear after 1 week or 2-3 times of use.

Is there a Masque Vivant Serum?

Currently there is not a Masque Vivant Serum. However the brand has announced it is working on a Masque Vivant Serum formula that will incorporate many of the active ingredients that make Masque Vivant so special. When introduced this will be an excellent power house skincare duo that will deliver amazing results. We are hoping the serum will be launched and available for purchase in early 2026.
