What is the difference between an oil cleanser and a water cleanser?

Oil face cleansers are excellent in removing makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum and any derbis buildup from pollution. Oil attracts oil so these face cleansers are very effective in lifting oils and will remove all these impurities without stripping the skin.
Step 2: A water based cleanser is used as a second step to remove any impurities left behind by your oil clenaser. It is gentler on the skin while nourishing the skin, balancing the skin's ph levels and better preparing your skin to fully absorb serums and face creams. These water based cleansers are usally a foam or gel cleanser and will give a deeper clean to ensure your pores are clear and unclogged.
How to double cleanse?
Double cleansing is simple. First start with an oil based cleanser. Massage into dry or damp skin, let sit for 30 seconds and then gently wipe clean. Follow with your water based cleanser. Apply to your damp face and gentle massage into the skin with circular motions. Rinse with cold water, a clean face cloth or towel. Pat dry. Now your skin is ready for you to apply the rest of your skincare products.
