Environ Skin Care line is effective for the face and body since it applies a multi-layered attack on aging signs, acne skin, sunspotted skin and other common skin problems. The products are guided by Vitamin A and extremely active antioxidant ingredients. Environ makes use of the "step-up" system in treating the skin effectively and gradually to avoid any adverse reaction which acn result in skin damage.

Without applying Vitamin A cream in the morning and evening, your skin would most likely be deficient in this essential vitamin. Skin cells treat vitamin A differently from the majority of other vitamins and require it to travel through various receptors in order to be allowed into the cell itself. Begining with a high dose of Vitamin A will overload your skin in Vitamin A causing a retinoid reaction. A retinoid reaction may appear as redness,
dryness, or even breakouts. This is how your skin indicates that it has taken in more vitamin A than what it can handle.

Environ recommends starting at level one so that you can gradually reintroduce vitamin A into the skin and are more likely to avoid any adverse skin reactions without irritation. Once the skin has adjusted to the initial levels and had a chance to create more receptors to allow even more vitamin A within the cell, then you can step up to the next level.

We recommend starting with the Environ AVST 1 Moisturizer in the Skin Essentia collection and gradually working your way up to the AVST 5. Typically 1-2 months use per level is recommended.

The proprietary Eviron step-up system of increasing doses of vitamin A habituates the skin to the lower dosing of vitamin A before progressing to the higher dose products.

Vitamin C: Lipo vitamin C, in addition to being a free radical scavenger, helps to perform a valuable role in minimizing the look of lax skin and uneven skin color. Environ® pioneered the use of a stabilized, mild, patented and highly effective, fat-soluble vitamin C in their skincare products.

Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic Acid is scientifically shown to hold as much as 1000 times its weight in water and is also recognized to play a crucial function in the process of aging. It helps to increase the effect of greater levels of hydration, to smooth and plump the appearance of the skin.

Antioxidants: Free radical scavengers in the form of natural antioxidant vitamins C, E, B5, beta-carotene and resveratrol help to reverse the look of free radical damage.

This depends on the condition of one's skin. If you have sensitive skin, any age, start with Skin Essentia AVST line. If you are sensitive AND have evidence of irritation and/or inflammation (rosacea, acne, acne prone, eczema), start with the AVST Gel. If you are not sensitive and have widespread signs of aging and photo-damage, start with the Youth Essentia C-Quence 1 serum. If you have progressive signs of aging and photo-damage, start with the Skin Essentia AVST 1.

When do I step up? For the majority you will move on to the next step up once you have finished the product level you are on. For instance, when you run out of AVST 1, you are meant to step-up to AVST 2. This continues until you have consumed the highest dosed moisturizer in either the C-Quence or AVST line. The only
exception is if the skin sends a signal that it has not adapted to the amount of vitamin A in the product. This will be apparent by redness or burning. This does not happen often.
